Didi is 1

Yes.. Didi is already 1 year old! Time really flies.. Just imagine he was just a little baby wailing in Mummy’s arms and now he is already transiting into a toddler.. Ah.. more fun for me.. Hehe..

So what are Didi’s milestone at the age of 1? Here goes!

Physical/Motor Skills

Crawling with enthusiasm
Stand without support
Walk 2 steps!
Scribble with a pencil
Flip a book
Clapping
Pai pai (praying)
Still takes 2 naps a day
Sleep for 5 hours in the night without milk
Uses index and thumb to pick up food
Likes to use index finger to on/off fan, TV or anything with button
Open and close cabinets

Social Skills

Holding to a mobile phone and pretending to talk
Separation anxiety – which I don’t have and Mummy is happy that Didi has it.. At least it makes her feel that she is wanted. .Haha
All things are MINE! – Ai yo.. didi will always snatch things with me..
Little spitfire – Throw things away when angry or doesn’t want them
Response to name
Loves to play with Me and Daddy.. Will squeal in delight

Intellectual Development

“Dances” to music
Says “Mum mum” when wants food
Understands simple instructions like, “Give me”, “Clap”, “Bye”, “Flying kiss”, “Where is head”.
Likes to place objects inside one another
Tests Mummy responses to behavior.. And Mummy always says Didi really knows how to gek gek.. Hehe..

Today is somewhat going to be an adventure for us, as we are going to Pulau Ubin! To tell you a secret, Mummy has never been to Pulau Ubin for her entire life! So this is going to be an eye opener for all of us..

Early in the morning after our breakfast, we proceed for our bunk boat ride.. Although riding in the boat is not something new for me, but it always excites me.. Well not all of us take ride boats everyday isn’t it? Here’s our boat!

Ok.. Here it sets off!

Oh.. Finally we have reached.. But Didi has already dozed off..

Ai yo.. the sun is really scorching! Daddy faster take the photo!

Ok.. So what is the adventure that we had?? It is for the whole family to ride 1 bicycle! Mummy was pretty worried as she heard horror stories of people falling off their bicycle at Pulau Ubin and they were badly injuried.. So throughout the whole bicycle ride Mummy keep reminding Daddy to ride slowly.. And when thinking back, Mummy was pretty amuse by the whole ordeal , especially the conversation between us:

Mummy: “Daddy, ride slowly ah.. the road is very bumpy”
Jareth: “Daddy, faster, faster.. 有人来了！”
Mummy: “Cannot faster la! Later fall down how??”
Jareth: “Ai yo.. Daddy faster ah!”
Mummy: “ Don’t want la! Mummy butts pain pain and back pain pain?” (becoz of carrying didi)
Jareth: “Why pain pain? Me not pain pain.”

Mummy nearly fainted! Haha..

Anyway the trip ended after the 1 hour bicycle ride, although tiring but it was real fun!

Changi Village Hotel – Day 1

Yes, that is our room number! Mummy has been looking forward to this weekend getaway. It is suppose to be for the purpose of celebrating Didi’s birthday as she did not want to invite any guest this time round. She thought it would be nice to just spend this special time with just US! Rather than entertaining the guest, why don’t entertain us instead? Hehe..

One of the things that Mummy like about this place is the tranquility of the location… Far away from the hustle and bustle city life and back to the laid back atmosphere…but still retaining the the familiarity of the locality.. such as nice local food (Nasi Lemak)! She call this trip an Exploration of the East! (since we are always in the “wild wild WEST”.. )

First thing when we reached the hotel is to….. Splash!!!! Yes, that is my all time favorite activity..

The view from the swimming pool is really breathtaking.. 蓝天白云。.. And the never ending flying of the airplane across the panoramic view of the clear blue sky.. Mummy really hope to be immersed in such a carefree life forever….

Lastly after we had our dinner at Downtown east, we had visited the Tua Pek Kong Temple in the night. Surprisingly the template was still pack with people in the middle of the night.. Anyway we were really impressive by the massive size of the template!

Mummy’s Birthday

As Mummy’s birthday falls in the CNY period, we were honored to be invited to Ah Yi’s Liwei’s house to celebrate her birthday cum new year visit!

Mummy would like to thanks Ah Yi Liwei, Sharlyn and Julie Jie Jie for the lovely dinner, cake and Ang Pow.:) Of course, it is the company that matters!

3rd Day of CNY

Yeah! It’s cracker’s time again! Althou you see didi holding to the crackers bravely, he got scared when it got lit! Can’t blame didi ah, coz the sound is really deafening..

The sound is further amplified when the lion dance trope is here. Daddy had deliberately arranged for them to come as I am really interested in seeing them.. However seeing them real-time is really different from TV, and I got a little worried when I saw them.. Mummy and Daddy keep poking fun of me after which –.-"’

2nd Day of CNY

Errr.. Daddy are you done taking the pictures? I wanna go and play now!

It was really fun playing with all the crackers.. Of course there is supervision from Daddy to ensure that Safety is not compromised! Oh.. So where is Mummy.. Ai yo.. She is down with fever think she must have got it from me.. Luckily I recovered before the CNY… :P Sorry Mummy..

1st Day of CNY

To showcase that we are the most loving family, Mummy got this family wear at the Singaporemotherhood BP.. Seems that only Daddy and Mummy are so happy.. Hehe..
